All former Bulldogs and Stingrays are encouraged to come down and reminisce about the good old days in the red, white and blue at the annual Past Players Day.
Organised by club stalwarts and 2012 Premiership players Peter Kefalas and Leigh Lavery, the day is set to be a classic down at Henson Park on 15 July.
The main game sees UNSW/ES Bulldogs take on East Coast Eagles in what is set to be a big match up at 2:30pm. The Dogs won the first encounter this season by two points in a bruising contest against the 2016 Premiers at their home ground, and the Eagles will be looking to avenge this loss. It’s sure to be a thriller and your support is sure to help bring the boys home in the fourth quarter.
Other games on the day sees Division Two take on East Coast Eagles, Division Four up against Southern Power and Division Five looking to post a good win over Campbelltown.
Tickets are $60 which gets you five drinks, a burger or pie plus a Bulldogs supporter scarf and stubby holder. Click here to buy yours online today.
If you’re a Stingray supporter, you’re encouraged to head to Trumper Park where a carnival like atmosphere is expected as we merge Past Players Day with a top of the table clash between UNSW/ES and the Sydney University Bombers. The Bombers took out the first match of the season in a nail biting affair, winning the game in the last 20 seconds in classic fashion at Oval No.1. The Stingrays will be out to prove their Grand Final win in 2016 was no fluke, and will be looking to make it one-all this season and take back first place on the ladder.
The Prems will kick off at 12:30pm and will be followed by the Division One Stingers who take on the Bombers second team at 2:30pm.
This event is free of charge, with all supporters encouraged to purchase raffle tickets and food from the canteen to support the junior club and our up and coming talent.
Following the football, all players past and present will descend on the Swanson Hotel in Erskineville for food, drinks and some pumping tunes courtesy of a DJ and self-made dance floor. Will the old boys take over and demand You’re The Voice and 500 miles or will the youth of the team declare all out war with some Fake Love and Starboy? Watch this space to find out more.
