Kick wins Coach of the Year

On behalf of its members, the UNSW/ES Football Club congratulates current Women’s Premier division coach Tracey Kick who was awarded UNSW Coach of the Year at the annual Blues Dinner held last Friday 31 March 2017.

A stalwart of women’s football in NSW, Kick has been the Head Coach at the UNSW-ES Stingrays for the past three years. Her years of dedication, passion and sporting acumen culminated last year in leading the Stingrays to their first ever Premiership in the 16 year history of the team.

The Club is also delighted to confirm that two players were on the receiving end of UNSW High Performance Club Scholarships.  Congratulations to Jared Deep (UNSW/ES Bulldogs) and Rebecca Beeson (UNSW/ ES Stingrays) who are worthy recipients of these inaugural awards.

The Club would also like to recognise Adelaide Crows recruit Ben Davis and GWS Giants players Maddy Collier and Rebecca Beeson who were also nominated for awards on the evening, along with the 2016 Stingrays Premier Division team who just fell short in their bid for team of the year.

The Club thanks UNSW and ARC Sport for its ongoing support.
