The UNSW/ES Bulldogs are thrilled to confirm that Jake Brown will join his ex-Sydney Swan teammate Dean Towers at the club in 2019.
The young NEAFL Rising Star nominee has been training hard in the red, white and blue down at the Village Green, impressing everyone with his pace, skills and willingness to do the hard yards.
“It’s brilliant to have another talented, explosive playmaker down at the University”, said President Stephen Dunkley.
“He’s soaked up a lot of football knowledge during his time in the Swans Academy and then on the main list, and we’ve no doubt this experience will come to the fore as we look to defend our premiership this year”
His addition to the UNSW/ES squad has also reaped rewards for our junior club, the East Sydney Bulldogs, with Brown taking on the reigns as Head Coach of the U13s.
“We’re excited to welcome Jake into the Bulldogs family, and to having such a fantastic role model for our young boys coming through the ranks”, said East Sydney President, Iain Dunstan.
This appointment is yet another step towards creating mutually beneficial pathways between Sydney’s largest junior and senior clubs, and to establishing AFL as the sport of choice in the Eastern Suburbs.
